Here is my third project for the
I made this wall hanging using the
plank in our "A Little Birdie Told Me" kit.
I painted it a chocolate brown and trimmed
the burlap to fit over the top of the plank.
I then frayed the edges. To adhere it to the
plank I used some Aleene's spray adhesive.
The Die Cut Tree looked a little like the one in my
yard that is starting to bud. I misted
the tree with Latte Metallic Maya Mist. I used
the Vanilla Cream cardstock
and punched some leaves, misted them with some
Lettuce Color Wash by Tim Holtz .
I ran the bird through a couple of embossing
folders and inked the edges with some
Broken China Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.
The letters were misted with Blue Hydrangea Maya Mist.
A small punch by EK Success for the heart.
And the nest was made from the jute twine in the kit.
I cut about a 2 inch piece, pulled and unravelled it.
I then shaped it into an oval and secured it
with a generous dollop of
Helmars 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
To protect the surfaces from the elements,
I sprayed a generous coating of sealer. It will be
hanging on my Front Porch for spring

ReplyDeleteI love the heart in the nest...
ReplyDeleteYou can purchase a clear sealer at your local home improvement store...just make sure to get one that says Outdoor on it. This will help protect from the elements.
