Ok my Organizing Friends, lets get our
Small Embellishments
the proper storage for us to ignite those creative fires.
Here is my sorting method. I sort my embellies into color families. Not much different from the ribbon sorting. It works for me because I have found that when sorting by like items, one tote had too many and the other had almost nothing, that was because there are certain embellishments that I prefer over others and will purchase more of. So it is better for me to sort this way plus that is how I enjoy looking at them when deciding what to use.
My colors are sorted like this:
Black &White
Silver(Metallics) & Brown
Orange & Yellow
Blue & Red
Green & Pink/Purple
I store them with either a contrasting or complimentary color which also helps in deciding color items for a given project.
In my cases I have things like brads, charms, flowers, bling, eyelets,
Small ribbon strips on floss cards, Bakers twine on rolls, paper clips of many varieties, hardware pieces, wire, small die cut items, and maybe some buttons, although most of the buttons have there own place...
Some as decor, in old or vintage jars so I can see them,
but others are here.
The larger case stays home for when I am working at home and
the smaller goes with me when I go to crops.
Although this is not stylish it is practical and
secure which makes it perfect for me.
