Happy Independence Day

It's a quite one so far today.
We have family visiting and the Dad's have gone on a hike.
The boys are still sleeping at 9am, but they have plans to
spend the afternoon at the Rock Climbing Gym.
And my daughter is away at a
High Adventure Summer Camp
with a Venturing Crew.

Ready for Camp
Tonight there are plans for a visit to the area fireworks show. But on Saturday night a neighborhood near us had a small show so I grabbed my camera to see if I can get a picture of fireworks.  I thought it would be a good practice run.  Every year I try but the point and shoot cameras I have owned just don't have a great time of capturing them.  So here are a few of practice shots with a Nikon 3100D.

Not too terrible. But needs some work.

So this morning I did a little research and found this site:
http://oneslidephotography.com/advance-tips-and-tricks-for-taking-photos-of-fireworks/
So we will see if this helps me.

I hope you have a Happy and Safe 4th of July.
