No need to use it for embroidery, just check out the
creative ways our DT used theirs by visiting
The Gallery will have all of the Hattie Hoop
SeW ArTsY Projects.
(by the way, there are so many projects for Sew Artsy
that it is taking longer to load the gallery pictures into the
gallery than expected. So be sure to see more gallery
projects tomorrow. But there are some fabulous
ones posted already.)

Here's my Hattie Hoop...
This is a verse from one of my favorite songs.
I sang this song many times when the kids were
little. Slightly off key I'm sure.
The background is painted canvas, the
heart is cut from batting, and all of the
letters are from either the sticker sheet
or papers included in the kit. The little
"grey" cloud is fabric, and the big
wood button is stained with Barn Door
Distress Stain. The little sun peeking
out from the cloud was made by my
daughter. She's a crafty gal too. It was the
perfect touch to Hattie, don't you think?
Speaking of my talented girl, here she is with
her friend. Last August, at the start of school,
her friend wanted some assistance
painting her senior parking space and recruit
Kimberly to sketch out a portrait for the space.
Of course there are pictures of the girls
on that seriously hot day. I believe the temperature
made it to the 100 mark. Heat or not they were determined to
finish. Working on asphalt, and watching paint bubble
as they spread it around, it took most of the
day and it turned out amazing.
(See the little photo at the bottom of LO.)
And because my girl loves to play
with Photoshop we have a black and white
of the girls.
Then it's my turn to create,
A few scraps, the pattern instructions,
and my sewing machine to create a
patchwork background.
